OK design, poor manufacture Cast iron woks tend to come in two varieties – Chinese-style, where the iron is as thin as the more common carbon steel, with tiny handles, a smooth finish, and a shallow bowl, and European-style, where the cast iron is dutch-oven thick, with bigger handles, a nubbly finish, and, sometimes, a deeper bowl (there are also Chukka-nabe, but that’s a different review).
