  1. Finally, a cast-iron 9×13 bake pan!!! I have been looking all over for a 9×13 cast-iron baking pan. Finally they did it. This is a ruff cast (with NO sharp edges) that you should enjoy cooking the surface smooth…eventually. It comes pre-seasoned but will take some time to get the surface as smooth as your grandmothers pans. I used it for one of my creations, a very special hominy dish that requires several cups of diced bacon end cuts and pieces.   2. Excellent, even if it’s a little beat up. Initial reaction pulling it out of the box, nice. Good size, good heft, just like good cast iron should. On closer inspection I noticed some rough casting. Some of the edges weren’t finished, there were a couple of spots that didn’t have the same texture as the rest of the piece and there was a small piece sticking out that tore the rag I was using. My sander took care of that.The finish isn’t smooth, however it is smoother than Lodge CI. Lodge’s factory seasoning seems thicker than this…
