  1. good old fashion cast iron This is a good old fashion cast iron skillet that retains heat evenly, thus improving the quality of cooked meals. It is very heavy compared to teflon-coated aluminum cookware but the value is in the heat retention. It has a flat base, but with the extra weight, it may not be the best choice to use it on a glass top stove , but more suitable for a coil stove in my opinion.
