  1. Very good but not a perfect pan I waited to write a review until a year had passed. This is a great pan – well constructed, high quality and very attractive. Although it is advertised as being usable with metal utensils, I’ve always used wood, or plastic- and almost immediately it showed superficial mars and scrape marks. They didn’t seem to compromise the cooking quality but now after a year the non-stick coating is starting to degrade. Overall, it’s better than the Calphalon or Circulon pans I’ve had in the past.   2. Base is a little small It seems like at some point, Anolon decided not to produce the heat spreading copper and aluminum base they use on this series larger than a certain size. The 5-quart sauté pan really suffered, but comparing the pictures here to the 12″ skillet I received, I think this pan did as well. The heat spreading base on my pan is about half an inch too small to cover the bottom of the pan. For comparison, the base on the 10″ skillet I also bought extends right up to where the walls begin.
