Pricey pan, well worth it! All Clad is a very expensive brand of pans so I have never bought one before. Christmas came and so did a 14 inch fry pan (lid is still coming). Great Fry Pan⦠This is a great stainless steel fry pan but it takes rather a long time to heat up due to the thick bottom, which has an embedded aluminum layer. This does mean the temperature will not fluctuate much while cooking, a good thing.If one comes to the AllClad pans after using teflon coated aluminum pans (even good Cephalon pans) some readjustment is in order.
