This pan is nice, but it was far more lightweight than the one I was trying to replace. Although it would be considered “heavy duty” when compared to other bargain pans, the bottom was far too thin for me and resulted in uneven heat distribution even when preheated properly.   2. The key to the omelette is the lid This is a high quality pan, just as nice as the Calphalon pans my dad has used since the early 80s. It’s heavy duty and in response to the reviews that said it was still too light weight, it’s only an 8 inch pan – it can only be so heavy.
