Even bacon sugar wipes clean After reading all the reviews of the icky smell I was dubious. However I decided to remover the packaging and boil water in the pan several times (4) in a row until the odor went away, which it did. This is a GREAT pan. I’ve used it for everything from bacon to veggies and learned from each item to cook on a lower flame than I’d normally use even with similar pans of this type. The heat spreads rapidly and stays high even on a medium heat. So I use a lower flame and food comes out perfectly…
