Aluminum is soft and dents easily, stainless steel is hard and strong. This means you get the toughness of stainless steel with the even heat distribution of aluminum. Exterior is scratch resistant brushed treatment, bottom is also compatible to conduction stovetop, this cookware is dishwasher safe.

  1. I’m switching all my frypans the stainless steel all clad like this one OMG(osh!) That’s it, I’m switching all my frypans to stainless steel multi-clad like this one. If you follow the directions posted on the Internet on how to properly cook in stainless steel frying pans, they truly are nonstick wonders without the need for Teflon coating. The first was a Calphalon hard anodized set and the second (current) was Cuisinart stainless steel. I purchased this skillet as a supplement to that second set.
