  1. unit is defective – one portion does not heat I loved the skillet like this that I owned previously. It is great for cooking for a large group/family. Sadly,this unit is defective. It has a section that does not heat. I will try to return for a replacement. See photo of pancakes with one corner remaining as raw batter.UPDATE: I did contact the company for a replacement.   2. Stay away from Cuisinart! This is a fantastic skillet as long as the power cord is functional. We have had one for years and it was by far the best skillet we have ever had until the power cord/temperature probe fell apart. Thinking no big deal, I went to Cuisinart’s web site and found a replacement. The next day I received an email saying the part was not available.   3. Amazon has been terrific with all the returns I never write reviews. This is the third CSK-150 we will have returned to Amazon in as many weeks. Our original is several years old and works extremely well but is a bit scratched up from all the years of use. All three skillets, when you plug them in, make a very loud buzzing noise that continues and never goes away.
