  1. DON’T waste your money! I didn’t want a nonstick electric frying pan. Stainless steel electric frying pans are a hard item to find. This one had some negative reviews but I ignored them hoping it was a quality control issue and I’d get one that worked right. Wrong. The thermostat does not work correctly. When you set any temperature the unit boils really, really hard for awhile. Then it shuts off and sits for awhile, then boils really, really hard again and shuts off for a long time.   2. Have owned 2 in less than 6 years and both have stopped working I’ve owned 2 of these (16 inch size) – the first stopped working after 3.5 years and the second after only 2 years. The problem seems to be that the socket where you plug in the power cord gets corroded and then the coils won’t heat up. There is definitely a design flaw where if you allow the lid to sit tightly then when it steams up water will start to spill out over the sides. This skillet seems almost perfect, but unfortunately, my culinary skills are not up to using it.On the plus side: This skillet is huge and you can cook a giant amount of food.
